About GEMS Cambridge International School-Kampala

GEMS Cambridge International School-Kampala, Uganda, is a school that provides high quality standard of education in a supportive and friendly learning environment. Teaching the National Curriculum for England from Kindergarten to Year 13, we provide opportunities for students to develop their full, all-around potential through a rich academic programme combined with a variety of extra-curricular activities.

Currently, the school serves children from Pre-Kindergaten to Year 6 with Years 7-9 opening from September 2014.Thereafter, the school will be open up to Year 13.
Our educational programmes place significant emphasis on:

  • Use of technology in teaching and learning
  • Constructive partnership with parents

The School prepares students for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) course as well as other GCSE courses, the Advanced Subsidiary (AS) and A2 Advanced Level Examinations of the University of Cambridge. Additionally, the School will offer Edexcel BTEC level 2 and 3 qualifications in a range of vocational subjects.

GEMS Cambridge schools have a proven track record of success in both academic and extra-curricular activities. Over the last three years alone, GEMS Cambridge students have gained acceptance to 97 universities in 26 countries.
